A few weeks ago, I took my wife out to dinner with a group of friends.
After a delicious meal, I asked her to help me fill out a car insurance quote for my wife, who has never owned a car.
My wife’s insurance company would only let her use one of my premium quotes from her policy, so she went with my cheapest quote, $500.
Since I had no insurance policy, I was able to fill out my own.
She was able the next day to sign up for my policy.
She said that she loved my policy, and that I had helped her save $300.
After I was done with the meal, my wife and I talked about how much it was going to cost us.
I explained that the insurance company was using the cheapest quotes and that the policy would cost her $300 more.
But my wife didn’t buy into it.
She insisted that we use my cheaper quotes.
After all, she knew how much my insurance company wanted to spend on premiums and that it was probably not going to pay her a dime.
I didn’t think too hard about it and just told her that it would be best to use my cheapest quotes for her.
After the dinner, my car insurance agent told us that we were on the list for her new policy.
He said that we could have our cheapest quotes available to the car insurance company, but I didn: We didn’t want to put myself in that situation.
I knew that I was going in for a very big surprise.
It’s hard to imagine that we wouldn’t have had a good experience if I had used my cheapest insurance quotes.
And so we did.
Our insurance company paid for the full car coverage of $300 for us and the $1,000 deductible for our daughter.
And that was the first time we’d ever paid for our child’s coverage, even though it wasn’t covered by my policy until it was paid off.
I have no doubt that the car would have gone to the insurance carrier at a much lower price, but it would have been different if we’d used our cheapest insurance quote.
What if I didn.
What would happen if you used your cheapest quotes?
In fact, what would happen?

Insurance quotes are typically used to set a minimum amount of coverage that you’re entitled to under the policy.
For example, if your car has a $50,000 minimum policy, then it’s generally going to cover you up to that amount.
But you may want to go lower.
